Dr. Hiral Desai
DDS
Dr Desai has graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry and received Advanced Education and “Diplomate” designation from the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in screening patients who snore for sleep-disordered breathing and referring them to physicians for appropriate diagnosis.
In close collaboration with physicians, she can provide management of Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) with Oral Appliances. Oral appliances are custom-fit, FDA devices that keep your jaw slightly forward and airway open while you sleep and have been demonstrated to improve oxygen for OSA patients. She has been delivering the highest quality of comprehensive care to patients in her community for over 15 years and was working as an Emergency & Family Dentist in Private Practice in Sydney (Australia) before relocating to Orange County, USA.
“Dentistry has always been my passion, but the first time I fabricated an Oral Appliance for managing a patient’s snoring and saw the difference it made to his life amazed me and that’s what led me to seek further training in Sleep Medicine. My goal is to help physicians diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea which is a potentially lethal disease that increases health complications like high blood pressure, stroke, high cholesterol etc so that all patients can enjoy a snore-free and restful sleep they deserve and wake up feeling refreshed and lead a healthy life!” –
